The FCC does make non-itinerant frequencies nationwide, looking through the advanced license search I came across this license that has multiple non-itinerant frequencies for nationwide use.

CDM1550 DTMF Question
Quick and easy question that I can't seem to find the answer to...
I know that the CDM1550 can decode MDC1200, is it possible for it to decode DTMF on a system that uses DTMF ANI and display it on the screen as well?
I'm considering setting one up to do that so I can listen to my company and see ...

Depends on terrain as to whether VHF or UHF would perform better in your application. That being said GMRS might be the only choice of the two you mention as VHF repeater pairs are seldom granted to Business applicants. The Grandfathering of the business use of GMRS channels never expires ?

Not really a hassle if you're experimenting and learning. Just saying... That's how I know what I know today, by trial and error and teaching myself.
While I myself don't know how to, these are excellent radios. I have a few that I still use. Good luck with it!

Yeah, I kinda didn't want to blow anything up lol. I need to read up on duplexers and how they work and tuning...etc.... Last thing I'd want to happen. But hey, we all learn from our mistakes... especially the expensive ones like that!

VHF antenna length varies on the frequency split that it operates on. With the GP300's, if it is a OEM Motorola antenna, there may be a small dot of paint on the screw base of the antenna. The color shows the split. If it is after market, it may not have this. I have used a high split antenna on a ...
