Well I guess nothing is out there.

I found a bad LM324 and got 5 of the 6 bays working. The last bay has a shorted n channel hexfet and a shorted 6v zener. I hope that fixes it. I would still like a schematic though, sometimes it makes things a lot easier.

I'm not sure if it was made clear but the is NO PL on DVP/DES encrypted traffic. YES you can use PL decode to filter out encrypted traffic on your scanner if the unencrypted traffic uses PL.

There are a lot of multimode CB's out there. They are known as "export"

You might try to buy a cheap MTX9000 in the correct serial number range
and send it in with your bad front attached. Then swap fronts back and use or sell the 9000 on the 900 ham band.

Sounds like your computer bricked it. Lots of computers will read Sabers but many will blow the radio when used to write the radio. What computer are you using? You may need to build a new codeplug and try an old 386 computer to write it.

You can use the 2K board to make a Saber III. you will end up with a
"BN" version (no scan). All you need is the full keypad and case. I have done this several times. Then I upgraded to a "CN" with the REX4204A controller. I think my price was about $136 a couple of years ago.

Because the FCC channel numbers will change and this information is hard coded into your radio. If you cannot reflash the radio with the new channel number/frequency table the radio will not work properly, or your trunktracking scanner for that matter.
