We have a UPS that came with the system for the controller shelf and the interconnect controller. I am going to give it a closer look, it dosen't seem like much size wise. Also have the battery bank for the ten Quantars. I guess I expected better for 1.5 million. We do have some surplus line conditi...

I hate to cast Motorola's corporate security in a bad light but the
Syskeygen program was on the CD that was going around with all the RSS on it at the Ham fests a couple of years ago. There must be hundreds of copies out there.

Question for Smartnet tech's

This morning I got to work and turned on the scanner to find one channel locked on transmit. It was passing traffic OK but it would not unkey (Quantar 900 Mhz.). The TIB also showed one transmitter disabled that was not. I reset the TSC and everything came back OK. We had some storms/power glitches ...

More info on this would be appreciated.

MTR2000 battery revert question

Anyone know whats inside the battery revert box from Argus technologies. The MTR2000 manual says it's required between the batteries and the repeater. The manual states connecting the batteries directly to the repeater will damage the system.
Whats up?

If you are talking about the 0105953T53 128K board that was listed on accesspoint pictoral parts breakdown, I bought one of these to repair a UHF Saber III. It was over $300 my cost. It would not work at all. I spent 30 on the phone with parts ID and they could not tell me what radio it was for. I s...

I have the NTN7014B NIMH battery. I read 10k ohms across the thermistor contacts. It went up to 17k when I hit the battery with some duster in a can so the thermistor is in there. John,
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I'm new to this DES stuff but reading between the lines I gather that the NTN5763 hybrid supports multiple keys, correct? So a keyloader upgrade to CX or DX is in order to be able to use these hybrids.

Yes, you can. The last 1E I did had an 8K display board, I converted it to a Saber III with the addition of keypad, speaker flex, and case. You wont need the speaker flex for a Saber II conversion.
