I would think so, just a regular USB A-B cable. That's what all the SLR series repeaters AND the MTR3000 use.

Re: Visar- narrow band?

That's correct. The VISAR has it's own screwball accessory connector with it's own screwball programming cable, screwball speaker mic (it's a little thing with the PTT on the front!), etc. The physical form factor of the radio would not permit a JEDI-style connector to even fit on the radio. Re: Astrolab Version B03.04.00 for astro spectra ?

The DOS ASTRO Lab that's floating around out there is incredibly old. The codeplug structure has changed so much that any attempt to use it for anything other than read/write with no pack/unpack will brick a radio. That is correct. It was considered one of the "high tier" radios, and is for all intents and purposes identical in operation to an HT1000. The "Radius" line, that the GP300 falls into, was considered a "budget" radio, and was only available in one bandwidth or the other...

You guys need to keep in mind that the Batlabs.com site is WAY behind in information. Most of it is no longer current, and is from the mid-90's to early 2000's. I would not be using any of those old tools on a radio from "today's era" unless you know exactly what you are doing. Experimentation with that old stuff on a radio that's not from that era of software (read: firmware/codeplug) will almost certainly leave you with a dead radio. It has its ...

Well using different TX and RX tones permanently does not solve the problem, it merely masks it. One option would be to put all of the encrypted traffic on a different talkgroup than the clear traffic, that way clear-only users don't have to hear it all the time.

Other than that I don't know of any way to mute encrypted traffic on clear-only radios.
