No, Astro Saber RSS/CPS is the only software that can program the Astro Saber. FYI once you have programmed the radio with a newer version, you can not use a older version on the radio. For identification purposes on radios / batteries we needed it on, we would use the same 3M reflective tape we used on the side of the patrol cars. I still have a few old batteries marked in this manner. It is pretty common forsome agencies.

Goverment issued and legitimate radio on the system, I would suggest taking it back to your radio shop. There may be a issue in the programming.

Also, I had a tough time decifering which antenna you are using. The normal longer antenna should work much better than the stubby.

If you are trying to do what I think you are doing, astro lab will not work well it was designed for vselp radios and not later IMBE. Mtsx lab will work.

For normal programming you should not be using lab.
