Firmware

Shows it in the software only. It appears as if this may be a very early version MTS2000. I never remember running into one that showed this, just goes to show that old memory thing.

Common Problem

I had one that was tempermental. Check the programming to make sure that it is not programmed to have a siren unit connected. This was the original problem with mine.

Single head dual drawer setup

Seems to be possible with the Spectra A-9. Checked with a local tech and he said it had been done. He is supposed to forward the info to me this weekend. If he does I will pass it on.

Motorola Bug

i too have the Motorola bug, but recently was given a Yaseu Ft-1500m Ham radio, This radio is Vhf and is really pretty cool considering it is made foir the Ham market. Vertex, Yaesu Same Same. Check it out. I may actually put one in my work vehicle as a backup.

Saber

I have not opened the radio up, I am not much of a tech. The model number does not show to be a secure saber. The case size is that of a regular saber. IN fact, I have the original boxes and documentation from motorola on this radio.

Squelch

It acts like a squelch in fact when programed to a marine freq, it even appears to function as one, but never goes to WHITE NOISE.....
