Re: Frequency "Agile" radios

Speaking of radios, so what all radios are FPP capable, relatively easily or out of the box? So far I'm seeing JT1000 (with diode) and late-model APXs. Any others? (From any manufacturer, I just want to know if they exist). XTS 5000, XTS 2500, XTS 4000, APX 7500, XPR 6550 (with special firmware and...

Oops, I wrote yellow color coded cable but I meant the red one with the yellow, red, black and audio cable. Part number HKN6188. I've installed enough that you'd think I'd remember correctly!

It's not the trapezoidal one, if that's what you're trying to hook up. A remote O5 head needs the yellow color coded cable with ignition sense, B+ and audio out.

Yes, that's how I have both of mine set up. It's there in Radio Config -> Controls -> Switches -> Two Position Concentric. I have mine as Position A (circle slash) to Keypad Lock and Position B as Blank but they can be vice versa.

I'm quite sure that one won't work with the MCS, you'll need the proper cable and RIB. You'd only need a system key to alter trunking information. For conventional only changes, unless if the codeplug is password protected, you should have no problem reading/writing it.
