I noticed you can use it to make another 3 zones but that still requires using the ABC switch for going between the three zones. For example, ABC will switch zones 1, 2, & 3. Press the side button and now you get zones 4, 5, & 6. Doesn't help me because what I really want is to not have to u...

We recently requested a boost in power. The coordinated sent it back with this ludicrous key-shaped antenna radiation pattern that would have cost us about $8,000 to implement. Needless to say, we decided to make do with 50 watts and withdraw the application.

Are you talking about the HT1000 vs the MTS2000 / MT2000. They are pretty much the same chassis as far as durability goes. The HT1000 is conventional only and I think it is limited to 16 channels. It comes with every signaling option you could ever want (MDC1200, MDC600, GE-Star, singletone, QC-II)....

On an XTS1500, is there any other way to change zones other than the channel knob and ABC concentric switch? I was hoping to use a side bottom of cycle through the banks, but it would appear that isn't an option. Just want to make sure I'm not overlooking something.

Kinda depends on how they are controlling that audio. If they are using the radio's built in signaling and built in muting, it shouldn't be too hard to narrow down. Disconnect the audio from the radio. If the sound goes away, you know its the radio. If the sound remains, you know it is in the amplif...

You pick what channels go in the scan list in the scan list configuration.

You tell each personality what scan list to use when turn on scan with the scan tab in the conventional personality.

Re: Multiple CTCSS tones TXed at the same time?

Most decent repeaters allow MPL operations (Multi PL). You can give it a whole list of PL's to accept. However, I doubt you would be able to use that to control an auxiliary device. You could use a multi-coupler on the RX side of the duplexor to feed another radio with only the other PL. Use a COR f...
