Re: Minitor V power up problem

JSC Motorola service center has no standalone website. It's accessible through MOL. http://businessonline.motorolasolutions.com. The dropdown menu under 'repair center' will offer the options to initiate service requests, check on the status of repairs, etc.

Re: Minitor V power up problem

Sounds like you have an internal electronics(power switching) problem. The Motorola JSC(Juarez service center) is operated under contract, don't know whether M owns the service facility or not. $78.00 flat rate repair is likely the best way to go, since they don't seem to want to retest pagers after...

Re: CDM1250 remote mics

I see no reason why you can't use one cable for both. However, I would give some thought to including the hook line from each radio to the remote mic. You may not need it now, but it might be handy to have in the future if radios get replaced.

I've seen an occurrence where a CM300 sat powered up for many months in receive mode and when bench tested for low tx output power the power came back to 45 W spec while the tx was keyed for extended time and the PA/heatsink got quite warm with no adjustments being done. Is there anyone still making a laptop with a legacy serial port usable with dual booted MSDOS and Windows operating systems? Any suggestions would be welcome. Something of recent manufacture with a 14" or so screen would also be usable.

For Frank:
For 70 dB of isolation at 150 Mhz(assuming no coupling between antennas produced by a common metallic support), you need 2600 ft. horizontally and 59 ft. vertically. At 146.7 Mhz, the required minimum distances would be a couple of feet more.

If it works, it works. But not a great idea because you're backfeeding the opposing radio with audio from the active one. A transformer hybrid between the two radios and the speaker would have prevented that from occurring.

That's correct. The T1611, like Will said, is a DC remote. It requires a "dry" pair - just a pair of wires from the T1611 to the termination point at a base station. POTS has DC and some type of signalling on the pair so is not useable.
