I had the same thing happen years ago with Saber RSS. I was using a pentium I in DOS it was in color too. I closed the RSS down, Restarted the computer and opened the RSS and it worked. It was just a glitch. Never saw it again.

You cant use an astro saber in a Saber SVA as the antenna will not switch over to external antenna. Also you can not use a Saber in an Astro AVA as the connector has a pin to activate the Astro saber antenna switch, unless you find a very late model saber with the hole in the connector. There was a Service bulletin that came out from Sti-co with using XTL's and sti-co's the RF was getting out from the radio and causing havoc on some of our federal customers with the same set up. It involved using 2 Chokes on the Coax. Call Sti-co and the will fax it to you

I have a ford demo in my shop now. I have been on the road doing service calls so I havent gotten time to look at the sedan. We have had a utility in the shop for about 2 weeks waiting for parts. When I get back there I can take a closer look.

Without over thinking it. Yes that antenna will work, If you can order the cable with the Mini UHF installed. I have installed numerous XTL, Astro spectras,CDM's Kenwoods, and Icom using that antenna setup. It will work just fine.

thats what we use on lightbars. #3 is real heavy and almost like rubbing compound. We rarely use that. #2 I use alot on weathered bars. It is polycarbonate in the display so it will work the same. You could try a small amout of car wax also.

We use both at my FD 31's for the dispatch MDC and the 19's for Patient care reporting. The 19 has some really tiny keys, but can be fliped to work as a tablet. I use a CF29 for my everyday computing and CPS programming.

i'm with Jim202, I use what's already there from the factory, if you use the correct plastic tool to poke and feed the wires then you don't cut anything. I think you have a better chance of cutting something by drilling a hole. the factory grommets and seals have more than enuf room for a #8 wire T...

I tried that with an XTS3000 that was a 403-470..I wouldnt get much above 477 before it went deaf on everything in the 440-460.. It was an older XTS though. Are you going to try the new P25 CFD stuff up in the 476-480s?
