Re: APX7000 and MOTO TRBO
I am assuming that the APX7000 is NOT compatible with MOTO TRBO. Are there any other multi band/multi mode transceivers that will do MOTO TRBO yet? I assume not, but I had to ask anyway. You might check Hytera for DMR (TRBO) compatability. Not all of the TRBO bells and whistles will work, but the b...

Three words...
Don't do it...
Their customer service sucks, their warranty replacement sucks, and you can better quality lights with a full 5 year warranty for the same prices you are looking at shelling out to STL.

Heck, I had a Vertex VX-150 that would do that, and that was six or seven years ago. I would imagine since both radios only have one channel/personality at a time transmit/receive. I would guess that dual receive is not an option. Until someone provides a way to program two personalities at the same time to the radio, dual receive will not be an option, unlike some amateur radio gear.

One minor correction to #3. Mixed mode is indeed for the receive side, but the transmit side can be set for either Analog or P25, but not both. So as Tom stated, if TX is set to digital it will TX digital, but if it is set to Analog it will TX analog.

In a word....No.
They are not compatible at all. There is a way to make an A9 a W9 by swapping out the chip in the head if it as 1073 head. You just need to find someone that has surplus chips.

Just out of curiousity, what gauge wire are you running from the radio to the battery? I had a department that had this happen out of the blue with a couple of cruisers, the culprit was under rated wiring, if the wiring is sufficient, then as stated above, punt them back to Motorola.
