Re: BPR40 Squelch

If you use one of your own, I'd suggest that it should be nonmetallic to avoid shorting anything. Since your management should know that narrowband will be required as of the...

If you remove the BPR40 battery, you will see 4 stickers covering holes in the chassis, 3 small stickers and one large one. If you remove the large sticker, you will see two pots, the left one(looking at the rear of the chassis) is the squelch pot(R215). You should at least have a service monitor to...

Re: GM300 Overheating... I think?

The GM300s and Maxtracs were designed to automatically back the tx power down as the heat sink temperature goes up, so it sounds like there's definitely a problem with either temperature sensing at the heatsink or the power backoff circuitry is not functioning. Does your CP200 have the latest firmware? IIRC R03.07.01 is the current one. There is a possibility that the newest F/W will remember the status of the keypad across a power cycle. If you upgrade the firmware, you'll need to use CPS R05.15.00 or later to read/write the updated codeplug.

Ya, that's the matcher type that you want. EMR Corp makes one too. Insertion loss on either one is quite low at less than .2 dB. The EMR 6550/Z is rated for a little less power and 300-650 Mhz but it's $145 list:

The first thing to check would be the degree of mismatch as Wow suggested.
