If thisis the item you are talking about, it is not an LS. It is a conventional and yes, that one does 128 channels

Oh, I forgot to mention that none of those radios use flashport. All do scan and the ht1250LS+ does 8 conventional zones with 16 channels each=128 the ht1250LS ONLY DOES 16

HT1250LS will only do 16 channels conventional and no MDC on conventional

The HT1250LS+ will do 128 conventional channels and MDC on conventional.

If you can find a way to program it out of band, you will be dubbed the waris god!

Advisor Gold Question

Does anybody know how to put the Advisor Gold pager into test mode. I need to find out what the baud rate is programmed to and I cannot read it due to lacking the equipment.

You can hear all CTCSS tones. It is just when you increase the frequency of CTCSS it becomes more noticable.

HT-1250 now sending MDC Preamble

Not sure what caused it, but now my HT1250 VHF now does MDC-1200 Preamble on one amateur channel I have programmed into it. I haven't re-programmed the radio, and it never did it before! It is wierd.

Firmware is R05.08.03

Your question is very vague... The range of a radio depends on many things, Forward Power, Frequency, Antenna Gain, Antenna Height, Surrounding Terrain, ETC.

For us to give you a "text book" range would be next to impossible.

I guess my point was that you cannot simply connect the radio to the serial port and program it that way, even the "ribless" cables have some sort of circuitry inside.

Brett, There is no "ribless" cables for the waris series. While they don't actually require a RIB, the "ribless" cables still contain a RIB inside of it (no need for an external one), if that makes any sense. Here is the pin-out for the waris series radios. All the HT750/1250/155...

I was making reference to the battery indicator. If the battery indicator does not work, how does the radio know the battery is low? The answer is it won't know, the radio will just die without notice.
