APX7000 Channel Annoucement

Post by Squad5 »

Can you make your own voice files for the APX7000 like you were able to with the XTS5K or do you have to use the ones already in the APX software?

You can import your own, just like with the Astro25 radios.

Awesome. I don't like the voice Motorola chose to use.

I can create MP3 or WAV files all day... I have all sorts of TTS software... but the APX software only wants the following input format...
WAV, PCM Encoded, 8KHz, 16-Bit, Mono

I ran several converters... but still APX doesn't like them. Anyone got a converter that will work so that I can re-convert them in the software?
Or... has anyone develped software that can directly make the MVA files for the APX?

Thanks,
Jerry

Echo that....I am hoping to find some MVA files that someone might be willing to share. :-)

OK, what am I missing here? I made some WAV files using the ATT generator. I've installed Audacity and exported to the appropriate format. Still, when I load the file in CPS, it shows as red. What am I missing?

Anyone have just working MVA files for the following?
direct
scan
zone1
zone2
zone3
zone4
zone5
zone6

Did you run the converter utility from CPS? The zone MVA files should be preloaded. Check out the help tutorial in the CPS...

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

You can change the audio sampling right in the windows sound recorder software, after downloading from the AT&T site.

Read the APX cps help carefully. You have to convert and then assign the files, then select them in the CPS for them to show up and download. For whatever reason the process always trips me up.

In my case, I actually found the default Moto MVA files and used those (those are what I was looking for all along). They were installed on my system all along.
