Custom RF cables? HFL connector?

Post by Pj »

Ok, I am running into brick walls, and Motorola is being a d1ck right now about getting one.

I need a HFL to SMA bulkhead cable for the MW810 GPS, but Motorola is considering this $10 cable can only be replaced at flat rate prices (ie $500). I can't seem to find anyone on the internet that does custom cables that will do a Hirose HFL connector.

Anyone have leads, or can even make one?

Don't know about that particular cable, but try these folks http://www.rfsupplier.com/

Used them before to make up custom cables to go from a aftermarket wifi card to a sma bulkhead for my old CF-28's

Something like this?

Can you buy one of these cables, then cut to length and put your own SMA bulkhead one end?

To be on the safe side, looking at 10-12inch. Trimble iQ GPS in the MW810 to the rear bulkhead. The cable needs to make a few turns to reach.
