Charging adapter xts2500 for xts5000 charger?

Post by VE3TUH »

Hi Guys.
does anybody know if an adapter exists, that will allow me to charge my xts2500 batteries with my xts5000 impress charger, model WPLN4114AR? If anybody knows if such an adapter exists, can supply the part number or even sell me one, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Randy

You don't need one.

If you do, you are using Waris batteries, which weren't made for the XTS2500.

You are correct, thanks for that. I have been using my old ht1250 batteries with my xts2500. I'll order new xts2500 batteries through MOL.

IIRC in the meantime just put a stack of 3 quarters in the base of the charger and that should charge it. Read that somewhere... YMMV, perform at your own risk.

There was a seller on eBay selling chargers (MUCS) with the adapters included. They exist in the UK, but are not available in the Americas. The chargers are universal, just change the power cord for your country.

I bought four of them, populated them with displays. They are very handy.
