Need a part # for a GP300 Portable UHF Antenna 465 - 495 mhz

Post by mrtor »

Good afternoon all

I need to replace some of the antennas that are looking a bit worse for wear on my trusty Gp300's (465-495 mhz band)

Firstly, can I still get OEM's ?
Secondly, part # for same if I can

Finally, if you can't get them anymore can someone suggest something that will fit and work ? My freqs are all around 470mhz band

I have seen lots of 438 - 470 mhz antennas on ebay from Hong Kong but am a bit scared of those :-) Happy to take advice from others who may have used them

Any help appreciated, I need about 10 if I can lay my hands on them at a good price

Cheers from Sunny Melbourne, Australia

GP300's used the standard MX thread. It was the same as the Saber,MT1000,HT600 and many others. It is still avalible OEM or any one of the good aftermarket manufacturers such as Larsen,Maxrad, antennex(laird)or comtelco. The Motorola part # for the whip style is NAE6483DR

Hi Mike,
FireCpt is correct it is the MX style connector, also same base as CP150/200, HT1250 etc. Here are the part #'s requested:

UHF Whip 6" 403-512mhz (stock antenna) - NAE6483

UHF Stubby 438-470mhz - NAE6522
UHF Stubby 470-512mhz - 8505816K26
