Google's iDEN Scanner Open-Source?

Post by turbovectorz »

With Google's acquisition of Motorola Mobility Solutions, do you think that an open-source iDEN scanner will be available in the future? Theoretically, it's possible.

iDen stays with Motorola Solutions. Not part of the Google acquisition.

I'm curious how much longer iDen is going to be around. Nextel/Sprint are bailing. I guess there will be some smaller SMR's that will keep running it.

Outside the US, iDen is still growing strong, especially in Latin American markets.
