Motorola CP200 Charger

Post by JD »

Does anyone have a schematic of the rapid charger for a CP200 portable ? I am trying to find a point that has + voltage on it until the radio is taken out of the charger and then goes to ground .

Thanks.

I've never seen a schematic for the charger, and it's likely that noone else on here has either...reason being that M considers these throwaway items when they fail because they're cheap to buy. Your best bet may to be to break the + lead from the wallwart and sense current flow in the positive lead then use the result to drive a transistor or relay to output the status that you desire.

reed switch or plunger switch installed in a modified charger. It's what's for dinner.
