I'm looking for info regarding the pinout for an external speaker on a PM1500 !!
any help appreciated

Maybe I am missing something in the question here. The PM1500 does use an external speaker off of the control head now. The control head does not have a built in speaker. There should be a small white Molex connector coming out of the control head accessory connector that the speaker gets connected to.

If your talking about adding a second speaker, that is a whole different question. There is a DB25 connector on the radio itself. Pin 24 and 25 are the speaker connections. Do not ground either pin as you will damage the audio output amp.

Thanks for the info

Yeah, I'm looking to add a 2nd external speaker for a fire engine at the pump panel. Pins 24 & 25 which is + & - ???

They're not polarized so it doesn't matter which speaker lead you connect to which pin, so long as it's 24 and 25.
