800mhz Yagi Antenna
Hello all, I have a 14db gain Yagi Antenna on a 20ft tower at my house. It runs to a GE Orion mobile that I use as a scanner feed to RR. Problem is there is a mountain in the way of the system I am scanning. When I went to the Yagi antenna it did help but still not 100%. I have two questions, 1st is there a higher DB gain yagi that might do a better job? 2 does anyone know if an amp might help? I know they sell those amps for cell phones and thought maybe that would help. Not sure so I am hoping someone here might have some ideas. Thanks guys

You could stack two yagis but they need to be co phased

Re: 800mhz Yagi Antenna
Two 16db gain yagis become a 19db phased array. For $999USD.
Link goodness -Intended for cellular, but the concept remains the same

Two Yagis phased 1/2 wave to full wave apart..... 75 ohm cable from the antennas to a tee connector 50 ohm from the tee to the radio.....viola!
