mcs2000 alerting

Post by saminc »

hi, im a little new to the mcs2000 and have a problem with the alerting system. whenever i get alerted the radio will beep and the screen will say call received, but here's the problem instead of the radio staying in the unmuted state, the timer will reset after 3 seconds instead of the 15 seconds that its supposed to stay open for, i had it programmed and its supposed to be for 15 sec. i dont know what to do now, if anyone can help it will be a great help.
p.s. i called Motorola and they told me they no longer service mcs2000.

What radios do you own?: AM/FM

I'd replace that MCS with a more configurable radio, it's a great HOT RX deck...but it's the pits to try to interface with ANYTHING.
