Dumb Question

Post by KI4RGV »

Is it possible to put APX CPS on a thumb drive and access it on multiple computers without installing it on the PC itself?

It would be legit software and a OEM cable used for this.

Anyone ever have any luck with it?

You could try it. It is a Windows program. So, there's probably common files that get loaded in the dark and drearies that are required to run correctly.

There was a trick with ASTRO 25 CPS where you could do a legit install, then find & copy all those extra files into the working directory, which then became "portable", however I'm unsure whether that works with APX as well?

It was a lot of work to track down the extra files though, there were some in Common Files and others in the System32 folder from memory.
