MSF5000 help please

Post by eagle844 »

I see several models for sale and I would like to know if they can be programmed with the rss and tuned to 444Mhz for a ham repeater.
One model is: MSF5000 C44RUB7106AT

Any help would be appreciated

Thank you in advance

What radios do you own?: FMR80D and a Motrac with Scan

Should be programmable with RSS.

The "analog" models requiring eeprom programming would be CLB instead of RLB

If it is the one I looked at on the big auction site it is pretty missing all the stuff needed to make it complete -
Cabinet
Power Supply
Pre Filter
Post filter
RF Power Amplifier
Cabling to connect everything

Yes, it was 199.00 and thought we could use it at 25 watts. I was not aware that all the rest is needed. The cabinet we do not need.

Thank you for your reply

The one I looked at on the large auction site was missing the RF amplifier.

Where are you located? I have a complete 110 watt unit (two, if we still have that one in storage at the fire station) that was/were taken out of service when we went to 800mhz a couple of years ago. We were starting to have (if memory serves me) synthesizer unlock issues with both at decommissioning time, but you can have it (them) for free if you're in the KS area and want to pick it/them up. I think one was an RSS-based unit, and the other was a prom-based one. Let me know. -Jeff

Thank you for the offer. I am in Alabama. Just a tad bit too far away.
