DTR series flash cable - homebrew?

Can't find a DTR series flash cable to save my life. I guess I could try to make one, but I'm not sure what that little blue box with the data/flash switch is doing.

Anyone have pinouts for this series?

I've searched around for this info but either it's not out there or I've really failed.
