How do I lower output power on CM200

Post by 70 cutlass 442 »

I am looking to take several high power UHF CM200s down to about a 5-10 watt output. Low setting seems to give me about 20 out and since I will be using these for uplink radios on a voted receive system, I would like to put less stress on the radio should they be transmitting for an extended period of time. I am also 150' up and would like to limit any interference to any outlaying systems.

I am not directly familiar with CM200, but if it's like many other MOT products, the hi/lo power values are set during alignment using the tuner application.

OTOH, if your cable run is +150ft, depending on the type used, 20W at the bottom is what you want for 5-10 at the top.
