HT220 convertacom wiring

Post by PETNRDX »

I have an HT220 N1242A convertacom that I want to wire up to 12V and connect a speaker and mic.

Had a couple of these running back when they were new, like 45 years ago.

This one is missing the round six pin plug that went to +12, gnd and external speaker, and the mic.

If I can find the "schematic" or anything on it I can make up what is needed to have this thing work again.

Still have a couple HT220's on the hamband.

Yeah, I know, boatloads of work... But nostalgia for the old stuff drives me.

I can relate to your sentiment as I have an HT440 laying around somewhere in the ham bands. In addition to being a reliable beast as a portable, it did remarkably well in a Converta-com connected to a mobile antenna.

Good luck on your search.
