This thread request needs more info in it!

I can find NO reference to such a motorola power supply
or any other manufacture. If you do not supply enough
info in your requests then you can not expect to get
anyone to reply.

How about make and model of said power supply?

Who put a burr under your saddle Mr. fineshot1?

You could just Google it if you aren't familiar with the Motorola R1011:

It's a Motorola supply R-1011. There's a service manual for the B version on that repeater building site we all know and love. Go to the Motorola section and follow the link to the Motorola test equipment page. Google had it as top result for 'motorola r1011'.

The thing in question is a jumbo banana plug, 1/4" (imagine a banana plug, but the size of the phone plug on a guitar cord). These are for the 40A outputs on the supply.

edit: xmo beat me to it, I spent too much time searching to see if those plugs were still being made... didn't come up with much :(

I bought the last plugs (both black and red) and the jacks too that Motorola had in stock. I have not been able to find a sub for them to this date. I use them on panels for high current test leads. My two R-1011s are still running along with no hiccups.

Hello:
I personally don't have the Motorola power supply mentioned but I did modify a Astron 30 amp power supply with banana plugs for radio hook up ect.
I used Radio Shack cat number 274-717 plug end and then bought the single female ends to put in the Astron for plugging in.
I do have these in my inventory but see them on ebay too as well as the black and red Motorola banana plug ends.
Regular radio shack plug is seen on EBAY auction 400805992404 and I can tell you that the plugs are center to center 3/4 inches apart .
The Black and Red Motorola plugs are seen on Ebay auction 192886362306 .
I myself took the Red radio shack plug and painted half black leaving other half red for neg and pos marking.
And I do see on ebay again they have the black and red female panel mount ends that youd use to plug into if you needed to change location like add another just above yours maybe ?
Hopefully youll find some help and answers to your issue with this info.

Wait a minute! The Motorola plugs are jumbo and much larger than a standard banana, since they have to carry up to about 40 Amps. At least that is the way they are on my S1305 and S1306 Motorola Ratelco power supplies.

Mother Moto has kindly NLA'd them but most of us bought ours ages ago.

The plugs were originally OEM'd by HH Smith which seems to be now owned buy Abbatron. Abbatron still shows a red one available as Part No. 286 and those are carried by Allied. Why no black...who knows. There's always paint.

Red heat shrink might be an option. Use similar black heat shrink if you want the plugs to look matched.

Personally I'd convert to Anderson style powerpole connectors, I prefer the SB50 or SB120 types.
