Micom XF Auxiliary Connector pinout?
I have the Micom X and XR manual excerpts and schematics that are floating around the web already but none of them give me the pinout for the DB-15 female "Auxilliary Connector" which serves as the RS-232 interface for both RSS and data I/O. If anyone has the pinout or could point me to anyone who might I'd appreciate it. So far all I've managed to work out is TXD and RXD and some grounds.
Re: Micom XF Auxiliary Connector pinout?
It's your lucky day, here you go:
1] NC 2] RS232 Rx 3] RS232 Tx
4] Data PTT 5] Reset-SP 6] SqRxAud
7] GND 8] Sw A+ 9] Tx Aud
10] MIC PTT 11] NC 12] GND
13] Extl Alrm 14] UnsqRxAud 15] Mute Extl
Data PTT is for reduced Tx Out Pwr, set by internal pot
Mic PTT is full pwr 125W (150 or more at 14.8 VDC!)
ExtlAlrm is Selcal
UnsqRxAud is 0 dBm
Tx Aud is 0 dBm
If you plan to use the radio for continuous duty (MIL110A, PSK, or RTTY), use the Data PTT. Otherwise the PA will overheat after 3 minutes at full power, and an external fan doesn't help! With normal voice it will run 10 min before needing a 5 min cooldown.
