RDX1000 - Info? Worth Anything?

Post by 911radio »

Hey guys. I have a Motorola RDX1000 data radio. It has a scanning wand like for barcodes. It is basically a large radio with a keypad display. I bought it on Ebay a while back to tinker with but it has been sitting collecting dust. Just wondered if anyone could give me any info about the radio other than what I know by looking at it. I searched the main site and this and could not find anything about it. If it is nothing special I will probably slap it up on Ebay.

Here are some pics of it. Bat (or whoever keeps it up) is welcome to glean some pics for the Motorola gallery if desired.

I have no idea what it was or is for, but if you decide to get rid of it, let me know... it could be fun to tinker with....

Worst part is that I don't have a charger for it, and out of my entire radio collection, none of the batteries fit the thing. Other than that i would have probably done something with it sooner.

MX Radio

Looks like a keyboard hung on the front of a MX350

Have you tried a MX or STX battery charger for it ?

Hi.

The RDX1000 is a "small" handheld data-terminal, based on a MX-style radio. Here in DL such terminals were used during the 80`s by the police. A regular STX/MX300-charger should work for charging.

OK, well I am probably gonna slap it up on Ebay by 0500 EST tomorrow. If anyone wants it before I do, PM me with an offer and I will get back with you.

Thanks for the offers guys. I just put it up on Ebay! I prefer to sell on Ebay. Just as well, no one knows what it is worth so I will see what it will bring.

lol..Porn? What's that?

I read so many stories lately (especially in the lounge) about the scammers contacting people bidding stuff on ebay, and I just don't want my bidders to have to put up with that crap.
