What radios do you own?: HT1250 VHF, CDM1550 UHF

P1225

Post by mavericknet »

P1225s, good radios and damn cheap too.. I liked mine before I got the new HT.. It was great for what I used it for.. and held up to my abuse pretty well....

I'm not the least bit surprised they're cancelling the CT series. The CP/PR series target the same market, and they aren't teal green in colour!

Add all Telario products to the cancellation list....big surprise.

Hello.

The talerio idea was neat, but never got the right market, expensive super cordless.
As to the radios, i can not say I was ever excited about any of it.

I would say that the most missed for me will be the p1225, but I think the CP200 will take over nicely for it.

This is really too bad. We started buying CT 250s about two years ago. They have worked well for us, and are a hell of a lot cheaper than the HT750/1000s that we were using. Can Motorola put out a product anymore, with more than a few year life span? I remember about 4 years ago, when they announced that they were going to drop the HT 1000s. I sincerely hope that they stick with the plan this time, and actually follow through on their announcement. Half of my job anymore is fielding phone calls from loggers who don't know how to work their radios. It really makes us back here at the shop look bad, when we keep changing radios every couple of years. I think I will look into Tait. I'm hearing good things about them.

What radios do you own?: Various APX series

I second whoever said "E. None of the above."

But if I HAD to pick, I guess the P1225 would be my choice.
