HT1550XLS and GP1280

Post by NSPD »

I haven't seen this covered here on the board, but I am looking for a VHF portable that will do 255 conventional channels, with a 4-line display. Something like a GP1280 looks like it would be nice but I see that it only does trunking.

I see that the Asian GP339 will do 255 conventional channels, as well as several other export radios similar to the HT1250.

So my question is... Does a radio similar to the HT1550 and GP1280 that does 255 modes exist?

The european equivalent for HT1550, the GP1280 does only a bunch (16, if I recall right) conventional channels, and 255 MPT trunking channels.

Also thanks Erik, 255 MPT trunking channels don't help me though

Isn't there an LTR add on board for the non-LS Waris portables that gives you a few hundred conventional channels as well as the LTR.
