Goofy charger problem

Post by kmoose »

OK, on an NTN 1177A, multi-unit HT 1000 charger. The unit powers up normally. However, when you put a battery in any of the pockets, the thing appears to go to fast charge, as evidenced by the red LED (I think). But, after just a minute or two, all three LEDs come on. So, you take the battery out of the pocket, and all three lights stay illuminated, until you unplug the charger? Anyone seen this before?

What radios do you own?: MTX810, HT600, MX300 series

I've never seen it before, but there's probably a short circuit or loose wire.

Most likely a power supply fault.
We had that and when the power unit
was replaced all worked ok.
