Saber programming cable from mic cable
Does anyone have directions on how to take an old Saber I mic cable and make a programming cable?

- What radios do you own?: Progreso soup can with CRT
S1 programming cable, etc.
I believe the pinout diagram is on http://www.Batlabs.com under Model Specific Information, Saber I-II-III.

Have you looked at the main Batlabs site for the pin-out?
FYI, the pins on the speaker-mic do not mirror the programming cable. In other words, you're going to have to "modify" the speaker-mic connector as the speaker-mic doesn't include the required connectors that the programming cable requires.
You'd be better off using a Hi-Rose adapter as you can pick them up pretty cheap and they have all of the necessary connectors.
You can make it, but you'll have to be creative.

Some of the pins are "right-Handed" while others are "Left-Handed". The regular speaker mic doesn't have all of the propper connectors no matter if you shuffle them around (been there / done that).
Using a key-load cable as well as using the Hi-Rose adapter is the best choice IMHO.
