Throat mics

Post by mr.syntrx »

Howdy

I'm looking for a not-too-expensive throatmic for floodboat work - I can't hear a damn thing from a Jedi speaker/mic and XTS5000R III while hauling ass up and down the river with wide open throttle, even at full volume.

Has anyone ever tried one of these? Alternatively, what's a good one for under $100 USD? I don't want to spend too much, because this thing won't get all that much use. Kickass high quality ones cost heaps, I know, but hopefully I can find a decent-ish one for occasional use.

I've already got a BDN6676 adaptor.

Thanks guys, and merry christmas.

I use the DEVGRU LASH Throat Mic System TM-01. It is a LASH clone but has the best audio for a cheaper throat mic that I have ever used. You might have to rewire it but souldn't be to hard I got mine wired for a saber. You can find them here http://www.airsoftextreme.com/main.html. Here are some other sites with some info http://www.devgru.co.kr/ and http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/reviewpo ... all/page/1

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

a throat mic is only going to cover one ear, you might want to think about a full headset that will cut out more of the background noise instead of trying to overpower it. or just a simple littl radio shack earpiece and put some shooting earmuffs over it. plus this is alot easier on your ears and probablly under $30.

We sell that partiular mic thru another vendor. It works ok, but I have tried it on our Ai-boat. Its not loud enough but the mic works great. We have switched out to the david clark headsets. they work really well when our hirth is at full bore.

Not you, Andy.......them!

I don't know which is worse.....

That someone would make a "documentary" out of a paintball (?) game, hyping it up with Vietnam veterans, or.......

That there are people who are actually willing to pay money to watch a DVD of others playing paintball.
