CDM1550 LS (VHF) conventional channel capacity

Post by wireless.friendly »

I want to know how many conventional channel capacity have a CDM1550 LS (VHF) with model # AAM25KHF9DU5AN.

I know that both variants of CDM1550 LS (VHF) present on the market - with 16 or 160.

P.S.
This page http://www.batlabs.com/htpro.html describe "5" (3-rd digit from end of model #) as 128 channels. But CDM1550 LS (VHF) with 128 conventional channels, as i know, doesn NOT exist.

CDM1550 LS's are capable of 16 conventional channels, and do not have the ability to do MDC on those 16 channels. Only in LTR mode can you do MDC, and I think at that point, they support 64 or 128 talkgroups. Don't quote me on the 64/128 talkgroup numbers - but they definatly only do 16 channels.

You are not completely right - check Motorola's LS/LS+ brochure:

CDM1550•LS and CDM1550•LS+ Radio Features

- 15 PassPort and/or LTR Zones (16 talkgroups each)*
- 16 or 160 Conventional Channels*

* Only available on certain models. Check with your Motorola Authorized Dealer for availability.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:

VHF 200 MHz UHF 700 MHz
Trunking zone capacity 15 15 15 15
Trunking talkgroup capacity (per zone) 16 16 16 16
Conventional channel capacity 160 16 16 16

As you see, some VHF models can do 160 conventional channels & I know man, who really have it & use it!

Thanks for info!

But this is 100% correct info that "5" mean 16 conventional channels and "6" mean 160 conventional channels?
