Sunday night is the reception at the the power plant
Monday night is the MTUG reception at the aquarium
Tuesday is the Tailgate party and the Oriole game at Camden yard
Wednesday is the Blue and White Gala
Thursday is the ESPN Zone.

What a week.
I'll probably give the gala a miss.
I will arrive in Baltimore on Saturday.

Anyone going to MTUG on Sunday (apart from me) on the board?

I'd consider trekking down for dinner, if you guys can pick a day... I'd probably just take Amtrak, so I'd need you guys to figure it out sooner than later, so I can look at train schedules.

Short of Bruce, who else is showing up on Saturday night?

I may arrange a dinner if I trek down - but it's an "if" right now.

I'm 99.9% there on Satuday, and all day Sunday. Train tickets booked, Hotel reservation being made.

With this in mind, I've got 6 interested people in for dinner, 2 others who are traveling in late Saturday, who may want to meet up. I've passed my contact info on to them, so if we are already done with dinner, they can catch up for drinks or whatever.

Dinner is planned for Ruth Chris Steakhouse, in Baltimore, at 1930. I haven't made reservations, but it would be cool if anyone else would like to join. Reply here, or by PM. I will then see which of the two on the inner harbor can accommodate our group.

If you could reply by tomorrow at 1800, I can make a reservation, and then change it probably no later than noon on Saturday.

If your coming in to town, and never met up with any of us before, it's always a good time, relaxed environment, and 3/4 of the time, it's all pretty much bsing around - not even a lot of radio stuff. We don't bite, and are always welcome to newcomers or any one who wants to come hang out. Don't be shy!

Look forward to seeing who else would like to join.

After talking to Mgmt at Ruths Chris, they only have a table at 10PM. That may work for the couple of late arrivals, I don't know if I mind, but we may work out a plan B, since a couple people would drive in for this.

More coming soon...

I scrapped my last post - I found us some space at:

Time 8PM:

Morton's
300 S Charles St
Baltimore, MD 21201

Hopefully they have good steak - I haven't been yet. I got a table for 8, but I am not sure if we'll have that many... if your remotely thinking about coming, please advise by PM. T

For anyone who will be in the DC area on Sunday, August 5,
there is a good hamfest in Northern Virginia at Berryville all day.

Directions: Washington Beltway toward Silver Spring/Bethesda/
Carderock, then over the Legion Bridge to Route 7 West. On
Route 7 all the way to Berryville, being sure to use the bypass
at Leesburg. It's a fairly long drive but a good place with great charcoal chicken and lots of shade as well for the tailgaters.

It's gonna be hot, worse than Orlando last year.

hold it for about 2 years.
It will also have data mining, great reports and if someone makes net work on macs it will transfer and run.
It was actual private sessions with the developers so there was loads of user input
It will do do mobile and portable with the same software
Also on show was a computer interface to the impres chargers.Serial number, model, how many times charged in an impress, how many in a non impress, first charge capacity and so on.
Really good for those with large fleets.

Also a migration server from smartnet , 3.x and 4.x to 7.x lets you run both systems with full compatability.
The other good one was a box that joins up edacs, macom, mot and efjohnson systems to make it seamless.
Now we just need the software definable radio

Yeah, no problem Bruce - we went to MTUG as well during the day, and were wandering around. We spoke with one of the M guys during one of the breaks and for a while during the rebanding stuff.

Next time! There will always be another chance to catch up. We were all up yacking away at 1 am, but were getting close to needing sleep, as it was an early morning.
