HT1250 Gov't model

Post by FatBoy »

Does anyone know the difference between the regular HT1250 and the gov't model? I have been through all of the menus and such and al I can see is that the gov't model does not do LTR or Passport trunking. Anyone have any more details? Thanks, Fatboy.
......I understand what the package says sir, but you cannot talk 28 miles with 3 AA batteries.......

The HT1250 does not do trunking at all, ever.
The HT1250ls and HT1250ls+ do trunking.

This was discussed briefly before. I believe it's called a Federal model.

It needs the Federal version of CPS to program it. Other than that, I do not think anything,

It doesn't need "Federal CPS". The Federal Model of the HT1250 programs with regular CPS except the Codeplug image is different than a normal 1250. A source of mine is still expirementing with this...

I just spent 30 minutes in the CPS with a Fed Model HT1250 and I couldn't find anything special. So, unless there is some secret CPS that gives access to more options, I don't think they are any different.

If you use registry hacked software you can read an FD radio. I have never been able to get a codeplug from one of these though. The model would be AAH25KDH9AA6ANFD for an HT1250 VHF,one was for sale on EBAY about a year ago.

I was browsing the ship card today and I saw there is a CDM1250 GSA model. It's the standard model with FG at the end, just like the portables above. Nothing else about it though
