Motorola MT2000 Antenna Adapter

Post by gdsteele »

I would like to use an external antenna on my MT2000. Would anyone know where I could find an adapter to go from the MT2000 to BNC?

Seems the Jedi to BNC antenna adaptors are fairly easily available. What about an adaptor to use an SMA antenna on a Jedi?

Hi Terry! kinda hard to post ebay links on here so my pm was:

"I have ordered 3-4 from this guy with no problems at all
ebay Item number: 150029598817
ebay user: kawamall"

and somewhere in my search I may have run across an sma to jedi?
I know someone at Henry Radio that had some... regards Jim

Yeah Jim, the BNC type has been available from those guys for a long time.

The SMA type remains elusive, to me anyway. I saw some 2 or 3 years ago when I wasn't interested, but I haven't seen any since.

If I had 1 or 2 I'd just send it to you... I didn't need any back then either
Henry Radio on ebay you can ask... they had appx: 5 yrs ago. kawamall might have them?
kawamall at 1 time sent me the wrong pc cable for a RIB to JEDI Radio. I sent them a diagram
pic's pinouts ect....and they sent me a RIB to Jedi radio cable (3 pins on the connector) works just great. this your not going to believe I said how much? There reply was $15.00
wow! how many do you have... ? just the 1 were maken for you! only time I struck paydirt !!!!!

But as for the connector, its just a matter of someone opening the right drawer at the right time... when they find it they will sell it.. cya later... jim

The SMA adapter you are looking for can be purchased from Tessco for between 5 and 15 dollars. Here are their part numbers.

437905
304399
34013

I'm sure motorola has a part number but this is easier to find. Motorola used to use these (gold plated) for their Moscad systems.
