NTN9858B Battery Question...

Post by Tony.RI »

I just received a few OEM NTN9858B batteries, and I'm a bit confused. I don't have any Waris/XTS2500 radios yet and am looking to pick one up. However, there is only one set of contacts, rather than the two I see on most Waris batteries online. Are the NTN9858B only compatible with the mini-XTS series and not the Waris/Professional series of radios? Is it possible to swap those plastic covers to use it on either type? I'm currently looking at getting a HT1250 or GP380 and I'd love to be able to use these batteries since they charge with all my current Jedi/Astro chargers.

Thanks, and I'm really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things here on BatBoard after a small hiatus. 8)

Cut back the label where you would expect to find the contacts and voila.

Won't work with the Li Ion batteries.
