GE-STAR decoding

Post by ka6sqg »

You may remember me as the source of the software library that decodes MDC1200 that was refined with the help of some folks on this board.

I'm in the process of finishing up an additional library to add GE-STAR decoding in software as well... but extra help is always welcome. Right now I'd love to hear from anyone who has set up a custom message scheme using GE-STAR, anyone who uses large ID numbers, or best of all anyone who happens to know which CRC format is used in the error control bits.

And of course anyone who thinks this should be available as open source just like the MDC1200 decoder and encoder are.
