I have a brand new MC2500 and a L3276 Tone adapter hooked to a XPR4350 mobile in the digital format. The customer is complaining that the voice from the MC2500 to the XPR6350 radios is cutting in and out and very low. I have attempt to adjust the pots in the MC2500 for the Internal mic and the handset but nothing seems to work. Is there any adjustments on the tone remote that i can be adjusting that will fix this issue.
Thanks
John

Did you follow the alignment procedures in the L3276 manual?

yes only for the tx side. Can you tell me how to do the RX side?? It said something about using a tone test set which i dont have. Is there any other way i can set the rx levels without the tone test set????
Re: mc2500 cutting in and out
Make sure the RX levels in the MC2500 are also set to the lowest setting...normally -30

Eek, good god... You know that causes the AGC in the thing to hit the roof, right? We found a CommandStar Lite set that way, and the audio was God awful. Changed it to -10, and the difference was night & day.jsikora wrote:Make sure the RX levels in the MC2500 are also set to the lowest setting...normally -30
MC2500 is essentially condensed CommandStar Lite, same design.

Re: mc2500 cutting in and out
two questions, when you say -10db is that through the programming software of the MC2500? My second question is how do i set the RX levels on the L3276 tone remote without a tone test set? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. First time setting up on of these
Re: mc2500 cutting in and out
Level setting can be done via the front panel of the MC2500 remote, no software required. Do you have the installation guide? It needs to be followed.
