repeater amplifier repair question

Post by FCM »

I have a milcom amp vhf 152-162 amp which we are currently using in the ham band. The amp specs 10 in and 120 watts out , howevet we are only getting about 60 watts out. I am looking for someone who can repair the amplifier. It appears milcom went bankrupt years ago. Thanks for the info!

Isn't Milcom now known as Crescend? Not sure if that's right.... But you might ring up Crescend and talk with them just in case.

I recently inherited a Crescend lowband amplifier, and it sure looks like the old Milcom design.

Edit: I'm right. http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=100832

I have a milcom on my repeater. I noticed there appears to be two separate amp boards in there basically operating in parallel. I wonder if one of yours went bad.
