Quantar 2nd V.24 Port

Post by mutantblue »

On a Quantar with a V.24 daughter card, is it possible to use Port 2? I realize that an 8-Wire WIB is needed to interface with the second port circuitry of the daughterboard, but even with the 8-Wire board, I haven't been able to utilize Port 2. Is there any way around this, or is Port 2 only useable on an ASTROTac Comparator?

Thanks Byron. That's what I'd come to believe. I first found that a 4-Wire Wireline board didn't pick-up the hardware interfaces. I then proceeded to get an 8-Wire board that did interface to the second port on the V.24 board, but didn't see anywhere in the RSS that would allow it's use. So much for my grand scheme.
