Minitor V Amplified Charger Volume issue

Post by haligen »

Looking through the archives I can't seem to find any mention of our current issue. Recently during rebanding we switch all of our fire stations from Minitor IV's to Minitor V's in amplified chargers. The problem we seem to be having is that audio output doing a slow ramp up. It starts out real soft gradually getting louder. If the audio output is taken from the base of the pager into our amp system its full volume from the start. Once in the charger base the volume starts the ramping. I've tried both outputs; the 1/8 to a rca and the din with a resistor voltage divider circuit to the amps line level input. Short of drilling a hole in the charger to reach the base of the pager I'm at a loss, and would welcome any suggestions.
