Reseting to factory defaults on Minitor III/IV

A buddy and myself were wondering if you could write or reset a code plug back to factory default. I recieved a min IV pager that the engineering password had been changed from the factory default and have no idea what it could be. So the question to be answered is:

Is there a way to reset a codeplug to factory default so that the engineering mode can be accessed??

The password is contained in the Minitor PPS, not the codeplug.
