Minitor V Band Split Question...

Post by ffemtrfc1 »

Hello,

I have a question about my Minitor V. The current band-split is 151 - 158.9975 MHz. My FD uses 151.0700, I want to add the second channel (which I have done via engineering mode) with the freq of 159.18000.

How can I get this done? Ive read tons of stuff about "RF boards" but nothing about how or where to change them and where to purchase them.

Is there ANY MOD that can be done to fix this without physical hardware alteration?

Thank you

You are in good shape with what you have...
The 151 to 158.9975 model is proper for your frequencies.
159.180 is close enough that the 151 to 158.9975 RF board will operate properly.
When you program 159.180 for your second channel, the software will give you a
"Out of Band frequency warning", just answer "OK" to the warning, and continue on.
That frequency will program for you. The top limit is 159.5975 MHz.

I have several with 154.325 & 159.405 and they receive both frequencies just fine. I would be very suprised if there was an issue with what you are wanting to do.

Hey guys,

I need to do something similar, but unfortunately my upper frequency is just out of range. The two frequencies I would like to monitor are 152.465 and 159.615. Is there any way to do this using engineering mode, hex editor, etc? I work with computers for a living, so don't worry about being too technical.

Thanks for any help!
