Systems 9000 Siren paired with XTL5000 kills my battery?

I am looking for some input on this one.
I have a Motorola XTL 5000 installed (remote method).
I have power from the battery to the center console with a shut down timer in the center console connected to the XTL's ignition sense.
I also have power from the center console shutdown timer connected to the siren.
The XTL5000 draw is fed from the battery with a dedicated fuse. No shutdown timer is involved.
This past weekend after about a month of daily use I left my car parked for probably the longest it has sat unused, about 15 or so hours. I came back to a dead battery, the car would not start.
I brought it to my dealer as the car is under a warranty.
What we discovered is even when the shutdown timer shuts down there is still a load off the battery. When I pull the fuse for the XTL 5000 the load drops. Furthermore, after the shutdown timer activates, and I leave the XTL connected but manutally disconnect the DB25 from the siren to the XTL5000 draw the speaker at the front outside of the car clicks as if it looses power.
Does anyone have an idea on this? Simply add a shutdown timer to the XTL as well?
Thank you
