Whelen Cencom Saphire Connectivity

I am trying to read the programming of a Whelen Cencom sapphire Gold. The program says Connection error when I click Extract. any idea what could be causing this?

Cencom Sapphire or Cencom Gold? IIRC a Sapphire Gold does not exist. I'll be willing to bet you have a gold system and you're trying to read it with sapphire software.
