Hello all,
I would like to know if any here who uses a CF-29 if they had ever swapped out their broken spindle drive for a shiny new Current model SSD or will i have to get another spindle drive. I understand that a SSD will be quicker on the boot up... Not totally sure how much faster though..
Thank you.

Re: SSD IN YOUR CF-29
Considering the SSD functions identically to a magnetic drive, it should not be an issue.

Re: SSD IN YOUR CF-29
Hey there,
Thanks for the reply. I was looking around and i found out that the CF29 uses an IDE format. I think the later models 30,31 use SATA... this might screw me up.. But i am going to continue to look.... Thanks.

Watch W9CR do a PATA (IDE) SSD install here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQdr4FMYzFM
OK, different platform but the same problem, skip to about 18 minutes in.
